United Grace Church of India (UGCI), have started “Home Nursing Training” program (Care giving services for elderly geriatric people) especially to meet the growing requirements and needs in providing care to the Elderly people of geriatric age and the various health issues and disabilities for the local community of New Ashok Nagar, Delhi-96.

WHY THIS PROJECT?

One of the major hindrances in the growth of any country is unemployment. Unemployment is a serious issue in India. Lack of education, lack of employment opportunities and performance issues are some of the factors that lead to unemployment. It is not only one of the major obstacles in the country’s economic growth but also has several other negative repercussions on the individual as well
as the society as a whole. As per the 2012 census, the elderly population comes to around 12 lakhs (in Delhi and NCR). The focus of United Grace Church of India is to support families who require Home Based Care for their elderly person. There are even studies which have showed that being in the home environment, the patients tend have their health improved rather than being in health care setup. There would be various other needs arising in specific homes where homes where home based care is required such as Post-operative care. Palliative care and other bed ridden diseases. These people would be from any age group. But our primes focus would be in providing care to the Elderly population.

WHO ARE THE BENEFICIARY:-

This project will help many unemployed young boys and girls who couldn’t get formal education because of their poverty and for those who are dropout from school and sitting idle at home. This training program will help them to assist their family who are financially very weak and needy. Our focus is to support youths those who are belongs to poor family. We are also planning to provide accommodation, food and training Program free of cost, reason being these candidates are belongs from poor family; they cannot afford to pay their hostel charges and course fees and the cost of study materials etc...

United Grace Church of India stands to bring the “Smile” on the face of the elderly it serves and the youths who are jobless. We request you to please remember the neediest and support this program so that these unprivileged and poor candidates may get bright future through this program.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Female & Male candidates. Minimum 20 Years old, Qualification- Minimum 10th pass.
  • should be agreeable to perform Home Care Services for Elderly people.
  • Willing to travel & stay with the patient & his/her family till service agreed upon. Should be able to communicate in the regional language of placement
  •  Should be compassionate, responsible and comfortable working with people of Geriatric age, various health issues and disabilities.
  • Should show maturity in thought and action, Basic 12 hrs shift. Night shift and 24 hrs shift is also possible.
  • Student should not be involved in any substance abuse (tobacco and/or similar intoxicants)

 

This training Program is free of cost, and 100% placements after the successfully completion of the course, eligibility Criteria are mentioned below.
